OPS Engineer with a passion for IT Risk & Security in Amsterdam

ING/TECH/Group Services is looking for an OPS engineer with a passion for Networks/infra and IT Risk & Security, to support the services for ING’s Head Quarter and Branche offices, offered by Corporate Real Estate and Facility Services (CREFSNL).

As an OPS engineer, you’re responsible for the technical application management of the CREFS NL applications, safeguarding their optimal performance and availability as well as their compliancy to ING’s IT risk framework, assuring the safety of ING’s data.

In case of 3rd party applications, the OPS engineer aligns operationally with the supplier to whom IT operations (technical management, hosting, etc.) of the application is outsourced or who owns the SaaS application, discussing solutions, sharing relevant information with the 3rd parties and assessing their solutions in terms of compliancy to ING’s IT risk & security requirements.  

What will you do:

Technical application management:

• ensuring the applications to operate by secure and flawless operations 
• supporting network changes/Infra changes, e.g. requesting firewall changes
• upgrading/patching window servers, upgrading applications to higher versions
• performing a/o supporting acceptance/production tests
• aligning release planning with internal and external stakeholders

Risk management:

• ensuring compliancy of all applications with ING’s policies & standards

• translating changing IT Risk policies & guidelines to impact on CREFS NL applications  
• participating in Disaster Recovery Tests
• providing evidence for Risk & Compliance  

NOTE: in case of 3rd party applications Technical application management and Risk management will be performed in close alignment with the supplier.

How to succeed/Desired skills & experience

• Bachelor or master’s degree
• 3 years of experience in an OPS engineer/Technical application management role
• A champion on IT Risk & Security

• Knowledge of Networks/Network design, routingprotocollen and netwerk equipment
• Solid knowledge of/experience with Server & database management, such as Windows, Citrix, SQL
• Knowledge of/experience with Microsoft products, e.g. O365, Azure
• Understanding of SOC/ISAE/ISO certificates
• Experience in managing suppliers
• Proven hands-on mentality and an easy learner of new IT topics
