Your new job!

You are an energetic DevOps Engineer with expertise in Linux OS and (Ansible) Automation. You are experienced in working in a high secure and highly regulated environment. You will develop consumable, end-to-end infrastructure services for your consumers together with your squad. You are able to move all typical user stories and tasks from “To-Do” to “Done” with focus on automation, simplification and making use of pipelines.

The Crypto squad has a broad IT scope which makes this position challenging. The squad is responsible for their own hardware(compute), network, firewalls, HSM, OS, middleware, database and of course the PKI and KMS applications. The Crypto squad consists of 2 sub-squads; Infrastructure and Application . This vacancy is placed within the Infra squad.

You will be working at different locations (offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, home and at datacenters).

What you’ll do:

• Provide innovative solutions to automate repetitive tasks.
• Design, build, analyze and troubleshoot our infra environment.
• Provide operational support in the day to day tasks involved with an enterprise level PKI infrastructure.
• Adhere to and maintain in control of the ING security standards.
• Participate in an Agile/Scrum way of working.
• Continuously improve yourself, your squad and the service.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify service improvements.
  • Actively ask for feedback and coaching for personal development.
  • Provide feedback to squad members.
• Collaborate within and across squads to understand your services end-to-end.
• Clear understanding of consumer context and needs, as well as the added value of your service to the consumer.
• End-to-end ownership of the services.
• Mindset of continuous improvement of the service and way of working.
• Up-to-date knowledge and always learning about the latest innovations.
• Contribute to and ensure an overall PCI DSS & ETSI/QTSP compliance status of our services.

How to succeed:

• Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science / System Engineering.
• Highly developed risk-based way of thinking.
• You are a consultation partner for architects in the development and designs of future solutions.
• Self-starter, team player and eager to learn.
• You have at least 3 years of software or system engineering experience with and knowledge of:
  • Linux OS & Automation (e.g. Ansible)
     

• Preferred experience with the following:
  • PKI & Key Management
  • Oracle Database Administration
  • Networking knowledge
  • GIT, CI/CD in Azure DevOps
  • Elasticsearch/Kibana
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS and ETSI/QTSP Crypto standards
     

• Fluent in written and spoken English (Dutch is not required).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
