Shared Tech Services, ING Bank NL is looking for a passionate and inspiring Engineering Manager (within ING, we use the title Chapter Lead) with a solid software development background and hands-on mentality.
As the area 'Shared Tech Services', our primary goal is to prevent the 'reinvention of the wheel' by offering a proven set of solutions to common problems in employee and professional journeys, such as ticketing, chat, workflows, process mining, analytics etc.
You are responsible for multiple teams, working on a diverse set of applications and services, ranging from .NET & Java to COTS & SaSS applications, focused on knowledge sharing.
Roles and responsibilities
50% of your time, you will be responsible for helping, hiring, coaching, mentoring and motivating IT experts in your chapter, which will consist of 15 to 30 software engineers.
For the other 50% of your working week, you will work with various internal stakeholders and external business partners to create, build, extend, and onboard new applications and services.
You will be a part of the Shared Tech Services MT along with three other chapter leads and also a part of the extended MT of Corporate Technology (one level higher).
