Your role & work environment

You are an energetic Chapter Lead who combines knowledge of IT software development with people management and organisational skills. 

You will spend time building up expertise in your chapter, developing and coaching your chapter members. The chapter consists of approximately 10 to 15 people, in India, Manila and the Netherlands. Next to that, we are looking for an experienced Java Engineer who will work approximately half of his/her time in one of squads delivering for Nextgen. With other Chapter Leads you will work together in streamlining the Java environment, coding standards, pipelines and libraries.

The challenges are plenty, ranging from normal daily batch processing of payments to instant reporting with kafka and Api's. You could work on re-creating banking formats (ie. MT940 and MT942) in java via a generic library, or you could work on a generic transaction importer as a long term replacement of our Tibco stack. Additionally you may want to be a liaison with external parties on resourcing or on so called workpackages. (sourcing deals with specific deadline and cost) If you see an opportunity, make it happen.
