We are looking for a Lead Change manager within Tech/DBNL, NL Engineering Enablement.

The change manager is one of the crucial roles in the Engineering Enablement Area and plays a key role in ensuring that changes are managed within the rules of the process.

This role chairs the change management board of Tech/DBNL and represents it in the Global Change Management Guild and Cross Domain Control Board. As a process owner of Tech/DBNL, the Change manager participates in the preparation of the walkthroughs with the First Line Risk team and audits such as CAS, KPMG, or ECB. In a nutshell, this role is the go-to-person for topics related the change management as a representative of Tech/DBNL

What you will do

As our new Chairman of the change management board, you lead the change management board which exists 5 change managers. You will be one of the spokespersons for the change management and the point of contact for (senior) management. This will be approximately 70% of your time. Next to that, for 30% of your time, you will be working as Senior Change Manager. You will align with senior IT management (CLs, IT(A)Ls, and CIO) and might regularly participate in the management and stakeholder meetings, but also go into discussions with Domain engineers related to the change management request.  We do get our hands dirty, meaning we are not dictating to squads what to do, but we try to understand them and enable them by putting in the effort to solve the challenges the squads run into. When the squads experience issues they cannot solve themselves and it impacts progress on the initiatives that you drive, they might come to you for help. You do not always have to solve it yourself, but you will take it on and make it happen, you will involve the right people and make sure the issue is solved.

Chairman role for the Change Management Board for DBNL

  • Chairing the Change Control Board of DBNL
    (Gathering of the Change Managers of DBNL, preparing the agenda; inviting if needed other participants; discussing ‘the process’ in general, improvements (on tooling, reporting, process, wow), high-risk changes, process-deviations on changes from last week, the share the agenda of the Cross Domain Change Board, feedback from Config Mgt Guild and Change Mgt Guild, other business)
  • Representing DBNL in the Cross Domain Control Board
  • Representing DBNL in the Global Change Management Guild
    (discussing new releases of and improvements on ServiceNow, aligning on subjects like the Process Control Standard (PCS) or Minimum Standards, helping colleagues outside DBNL with tips and tricks
  • Participating in (preparation of) Walkthroughs
  • Participating in audits, like from CAS, KPMG or ECB

Change Manager role for the Customer & Data Domain

  • Helping squads within the domain to manage their changes within the rules of the process, as pragmatically as possible
  • Checking the quality of the changes executed in the domain
  • Chasing changes that are overdue closure
  • Educating engineers/squads regarding the Change Management process and everything around it
  • Participating in the weekly MT meeting and reporting about process quality
  • Advising management on process issues
  • Being in general a source of information for the whole domain
