The Role
The Senior Test Automation Engineer is responsible for setting up the test automation environment of Team Investing. The Test Automation Engineer will select and implement the best suited test automation frameworks to set up automated tests for both our front end and back end functionality. Subsequently the engineer will create automated tests to cover all functionality for which the team is responsible. In addition to this the engineer will train and support colleagues.

The Team
Team Investing consists of a full stack development team working in an Agile/Scrum setting. The whole customer team includes business representatives, UX/UI designers, business analysts etc. It has various asset management products as its domain. Some of these products are very complex.

The role includes the following responsibilities:
• Create Test Automation Strategy
• Selection and implementation of test automation frameworks for front end and back end;
• Creating, running automated tests for web applications, web services, mobile applications and back end services;
• Analyzing test results and creating test reports;
• Performs test automation feasibility research;
• Part of the development teams;
• Provide training and support for colleagues within the team as well for other teams;
• Troubleshoots/debugs automation framework and test scripts as needed;

Required Skills and Experience  
To be effective in this role you need the following skills and experience:

Extensive experience (5+ years) in test automation or software development;
Good knowledge of software development methodologies;
Good understanding of test processes, methodologies and standards;
Good knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft Development stack;
Good exposure to RDMBS (SQL), Programming / Scripting are expected;
Good experience in design and development of Automation frameworks and Automation Testing Strategies for systems applications and web applications;
Good knowledge of .NET platform and C# programming language;
Experience with UI Automation, Coded UI, Selenium WebDriver;
Basic knowledge of GIT (or any other version control system);
Understanding of software design patterns and their application in test automation framework design;
Hands on mentality;
Working experience with Agile / Scrum;
Educational background: HBO / WO;
Fluency in English (speech and written) (Dutch is a plus);
