In 2017 bol.com opened one of the most sustainable, highly automated and largest fulfillment centers in the Netherlands. Clearly our Warehouse Management System (WMS) has to perform flawlessly 24/7. Can you fine tune the performance of our current system? And translate your actionable insights into a stellar WMS for our fulfillment center?

As WMS Consultant you are at the core of the fulfillment center’s current and future success. Your expertise will determine how smoothly and efficiently the WMS (Reflex) runs. You will focus on fine tuning our WMS platform. How can we improve the pickers’ workload balance? Which put-away algorithm will optimize our efficiency, so that we can serve our 8+ million clients even faster?

You will analyze decisions, propose innovations and optimizations and manage the required changes. Analyze intricate business requirements at the process level and translate your insights into innovative technical solutions.

Who you are

A solution-oriented WMS professional. You combine genuine tech passion with communicative skills and enjoy sparring with business units. You go the extra mile to facilitate people, but know where to draw the line, for example if expectations simply can’t be met. You feel at home in a setting that explores – and constructs – new avenues. You aspire to lay foundations for future-proof solutions, but you can also think on your feet and devise quick fixes. Experience with Reflex is obviously welcome, but no deal breaker.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree, a mix of consulting and IT skills
• Experience with configuring complex systems is a pre
• Ability to read code is an advantage
• Strong organizational skills, capable of juggling several project tasks

As WMS Consultant you are part of the multidisciplinary Scrum team in charge of the development and operation of the WMS.
