Business Analyst eCommerce

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with knowledge of eCommerce environments? Are you constantly setting yourself ambitious targets? Are you always looking for solutions to online challenges? If so, we would love to hear from you because eCommerce at A.S. Watson is expanding!

The DevOps department within the eCommerce department at our head office in Renswoude is responsible for all digital projects in the area of eCommerce and CRM. This involves, for example, optimising the online loyalty programmes such as the loyalty card, VIP campaigns, new and updated personalised campaigns and the website. And we're not finished yet: of course, developments are constantly happening online. We are looking for an experienced eCommerce / CRM Business Analyst to successfully translate the new developments into online applications.

As Business Analyst, you would make an important contribution to improving our CRM proposal and webshop. Together with both the team and the business, you would think up, discuss and describe new functionalities for our CRM campaigns and website. You would be responsible for the quality of the development solutions and be the "content conscience" for our eCommerce and CRM systems. Your solutions would ensure that Kruidvat and Trekpleister continue to develop online. More important still, you would make sure that we continue to surprise and reward our customers.

Your work activities and responsibilities would include:

  • coming up with new functionalities in functional and technical specifications for our CRM proposal, and translating these into user stories;
  • independently researching how functionalities can be technically shaped (of course, you would need to make a good estimation of the impact on the technology, business and business processes in this);
  • providing good documentation for new functionalities that can be used by both internal stakeholders and external parties;
  • testing and documenting the delivered functionalities;
  • analysing problems and putting forward suggestions for improvement.

Setting up a DevOps team has been the first step towards the Agile/Scrum way of working within eCommerce. The Scrum teams establish the speed and direction and how they fit in together. We coordinate what we do with the business and then draw up a plan together, taking into account the well-known Scrum rituals.

Requirements for the position of Business Analyst eCommerce?
  • at least a completed HBO qualification (Hoger beroepsonderwijs, university of applied sciences degree programme), preferably in the field of IT;
  • at least 4 years' relevant work experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Manager or Information Analyst within a technical or eCommerce environment;
  • knowledge of Adobe Campaign and/or Siebel gives you an advantage;
  • strong analytical skills (you are able to approach issues from various angles and you easily make connections);
  • experience with the Agile/Scrum way of working (as well as experience working within an Agile environment);
  • preferably experience within a retail organisation;
  • preferably programming knowledge.
What you get in return?

As Business Analyst, you would be part of the eCommerce department. Everything that we do is aimed at online success and next generation marketing and commerce. Our websites need to develop in line with all online developments and technical possibilities. For each retail formula, everything needs to align with our online proposal and image. It goes without saying that anyone working in this department works closely together with other departments such as CRM, Marketing and Procurement. Guaranteed variation in work activities and a great opportunity to learn!

What can we offer you in addition to this web-oriented environment?

  • a challenging position at a powerful and successful international organisation that invests in online development;
  • not unimportantly, good employment conditions (including a salary that matches your level of education, job position and experience, 24 days' holiday and an attractive ATV-regeling (arbeidstijdverkorting, arrangement for reduced working hours) for 19.5 days on a full-time basis);
  • since you are no doubt a fan of our shops and products, staff discount on purchases at our Kruidvat, Trekpleister and ICI PARIS XL stores;
  • plenty of opportunities for development and promotion (due to the growth and success of our organisation, we always offer the opportunity for talent to develop or grow further in the future);
  • an informal, no-nonsense working atmosphere in which open communication, short lines and, last but not least, a healthy dose of humour are very important.

You have to keep your promises. This isn't just something that we believe in at A.S. Watson Benelux - we also make it a reality. Our HR policy has won several prizes, including the HR Proffie and Top Employer. This means that we do not just invest in a good package of employment conditions and labour conditions - we also invest in our colleagues. You don't just work for us - we offer you the opportunity to develop to the level where you can perform at your best.
