As IT Engineering Lead Corporate Credits, you work in the IT Delivery Domain Global Markets / Corporate Credits and contribute to the bank’s strategy. You are responsible for the optimization of IT on a daily basis, to make sure the business can service our clients efficiently and effectively. The IT Engineering Lead position within Corporate Credits is described best in three words:(1) Complex: the world of Corporate Credits affects all facets of the bank (such as transactions, accounting and legal). Weighing your options and decisions is therefore of utmost importance. On the one hand, there is the importance of meeting the business’ demand by delivering IT solutions on short term. On the other hand, you guarantee long-term focus by providing solutions in accordance with the IT architecture and other standards.(2) Decisiveness: our business lines are demanding. You will work with the business on a daily basis to understand their needs, increasing the effectiveness and impact of your actions.(3) Tech savvy: the IT environment provides many opportunities to tactically and strategically influence IT events such as Blockchain, DevOps, Cloud and more!
Your jobYou are responsible for the resourcing, optimization and development of multiple Agile teams, the representation of IT towards the customer and implementing the IT strategy (such as future architecture, way of working and best practices within IT like CI/CD).
What are your main responsibilities?
In the Agile world of ABN AMRO, IT is responsible for how the Agile teams operate, while the business product owners determine what focus areas the teams work on. This happens in close cooperation between the different grids (domains/knowledge areas). The Corporate Credits grid supports the business lines in advising, providing, monitoring and reporting on business loans to retail, private, commercial, corporate and institutional clients. Our mission: to provide the best credit solutions to our clients so that they can be successful with their company. The grid is responsible for several systems in the field of credit advice, provision, administration, monitoring and reporting. Many of the epics that are being worked on within the IT Delivery Domain, impact these systems. Your scrum teams contain the specialists who work on the changes in these systems. You are able, together with your teams, to manage the impact of the desired change in the right direction without negatively affecting availability and functionality. The total credit that is provided by the systems of the Corporate Credits grid, covers a large part of the ABN AMRO balance sheet. Availability and quality, especially of the credit data, are very important. A deviation of, for example, 1% of the provisions to be taken, has serious consequences for the P&L of ABN AMRO.
