Function

The IT Banking team team consists of 14 persons working in scrum teams. The IT banking team is part of the Aegon NL IT organization and responsible for supporting Aegon Bank, a medium sized bank in the Netherlands, offering savings- and investment products to consumers and business clients.

Aegon Bank is migrating to a new banking platform. Appian is part of the new solution. All major business processes have been configured in Appian. After the migration, a large backlog of changes is waiting for the team.                                                                                                                                                     

You will develop new functionality that enables Aegon Bank to introduce new products and services, that helps to improve efficiency by increasing straight to processing. The team is also applying Robotic Process Automation for this purpose. The team wants to have the capability to do both new developments and maintenance in Appian themselves. Therefore, they are looking for a lead developer in Appian, who is able to build new functionality and learn and coach other colleagues to do maintenance and development work in Appian.

You know how to motivate and convince your team members to deliver solutions which follows Appian's best practices for designing applications including being scalable, maintainable, and efficient. 

Within Aegon there is a Center of Excellence, the so called ‘Appian Enablement Center’, you can liaise with them for tools and knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar
• 5 years of working experience
• Experience of 3-5 years in business process management.
• Experience as an Appian designer, preferable experience as a lead developer. Certified Appian Designer.
• Fluent in English (writing and speaking). Dutch is a pre
• Working experience in IT for Banking is a pre.
• Energetic and eager to contribute to our data driven and customer oriented strategy
