Senior QA Engineer in Amsterdam

What’s the job

You will be responsible for the quality of our releases. You will be the one who knows everything about the dedicated functional domain and always aims to improve the usability of our applications through:

• Providing Quality Assurance (QA) of Catawiki web and mobile platforms

• Performing functional, confirmation & regression testing

• Setting up test cases & scenarios

• Improving the overall QA processes within your development teams

• Identifying and reporting defects

As a part of a team of professionals (test and software engineers, product and UX specialists) within functional area you’ll be making sure the quality of the software meets high standards.

Helping our Automation QA by providing test automation scenarios, covering the most critical paths, and helping with automated test implementation to ensure the quality of each feature and release.

 A little bit about you

You are curious, have a good eye for detail, are analytical and have a critical mindset. You can think out of the box and be creative when it comes to test scenarios. 

You have an interest in developing your technical skills the fact that one of our future goals is to implement end-to-end testing automation as part of our product cycle should excite you!

Next, to this it’s likely you’ll also have experience with the following:

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

• Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Strong experience in mobile applications and backend system testing

• Proven experience in testing complex user interfaces

• Experience in testing high traffic websites and performance testing is a plus

• Experience with test automation tooling (Puppeteer, Cypress, CodeceptJS or another frameworks) is a plus

• Good knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript or other programming languages is also a big plus
