Job Description
Our Engineers are the heart of ING. We solve some of the hardest problems. Constantly experimenting and improving of both the way of working. You will be working within the Investments domain. As a Frontend Platform Engineer you’ll be responsible for design, build, test and deploy new features. We release once per week, but perhaps with your help, we could improve our processes and increase time to delivery.
Department
You will be working in the Tribe Investments. When we made the transformation from an AngularJS stack to web components (either Polymer or Lit), there came a necessity for a platform team, doing numerous tasks. Our platform team is responsible for alignment of coding standards, handling merge requests, doing secure code reviews, creating the releases and making sure we accelerate others. Next to having a platform responsibility the platform team also develops features for those things that fall in between.
Who are you?
You are a driven IT specialist with excellent technical and programming skills, with an interest of improving the overall quality of our delivery.
You are a Dev(ops) Engineer and has minimum 7 years’ experience in frontend (javascript) technologies. Understanding the principles of a component based architecture and the best way to write code. Understanding what other teams need and acting to help them be successful. You are also able to coach colleagues and give them constructive feedback.
Stack and tooling
In our stack we use AngularJS, Polymer 2, Lit(HTML/Element) and Redux. For our backend we are using Microservices with Spring Boot, creating REST APIs and venturing into GraphQL. We manage our Gitlab pipeline using docker runners.
