Technical Operations Engineer in Rotterdam

Beschrijving

A day at the office

As a Tech Ops Engineer, no two days are the same. However, from the moment you step in until you leave, you always have many things to do. Once you have arrived at the office, the first thing you do is grab a delicious cup of coffee. We start with a daily stand up to discuss all open tasks and divide them among the team.

You spend the morning managing our server park and solve the problems that occurred during the night. Multi-tasking is a required, because while you are working on this, colleagues from other departments will regularly ask you for advice.

After lunch, you work on deliveries for existing and new customers. You interact with the Project Management department, NOC and other departments. In the meantime, you set up remote -hands assignments around the world and ensure that the deadlines are met. Unfortunately, an incident throws a spanner in the works and you have to start working on this in order to minimize the impact for our customers. You solve problems as quickly as possible and you take measures to prevent them from occurring in the future. At the end of the day you have time to arrange a visa application because in two weeks you will have to go to the US for a project!
