To fully realize Unite and improving the investment journeys, ING is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with profound IT knowledge. In addition, it is a pre when you have knowledge and experience with investment products, -propositions and the -processes.

Job Description

In your role as Full Stack Engineer you will work within one of the most advanced Agile environments in the Amsterdam Area (Spotify Agile). You will work on the Unite investments orange channels. There is a lot of room for new ideas and technologies. Next to this you will also have the opportunity to work out innovative ideas for our investments clients!

Amongst your colleagues, there are very smart software engineers that love to keep up to date on the latest and greatest of developments. Some even are speakers on public Meetups and known bloggers in the community. This is a magnificent playground to take your game to the next level!

You will be working in a true DevOps Scrum team with two-week sprints. You will be working closely to your colleagues by doing code reviews or pair programming where necessary.

Our stack

Our back-end APIs are created with an internal Spring (Boot) based framework and run on virtualized hardware. The front-end is built in AngularJS (legacy) and being migrated to Polymer. To comply with our regulators demands, our releases processes can feel bureaucratic from time to time. This means that you need to be a quick learner to understand them, and you need to have the ambition to improve and automate as much as possible.

Your skills

• Experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g. Polymer, LitHTML/LitElement, Redux, React, Angular, Vue.js or other component-based frameworks)
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience with using and building automated tests
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (at least Git and Jenkins)
• Experience with the Agile/Scrum/Kanban way of working
• Proficient in Dutch and/or English

Nice to Haves

• Java/Maven/Tomcat/Linux/Oracle is the stack we work on
• Advanced skills that help us improve our CI/CD pipeline (e.g. using Docker)
• Experience with DevOps (monitoring production, Grafana, Kibana)
• Experience in a corporate environment
• Experience with contract first development
