Your work environment

Ridecloud is a startup founded within ING Labs, and is bringing shared cars, e-scooters, (e-)bikes, taxis and more together in one easy to use app. The first version of the app was launched in the summer of 2018, and we’re now in the process of continuously improving our service. The Amsterdam-based team consists of 10 highly motivated people with different backgrounds and nationalities. We operate independent of ING and are creating our own brand, while still benefiting from the innovative environment of ING Labs.

We are building Ridecloud because we believe that by combining the powers of multiple mobility providers in a single app, shared mobility will become more transparent, accessible and easy to use for everyone. This way we are changing the way we move and improving the livability of the world we live in, by relieving cities of congestion and pollution. Your role

As a UX research & design intern you will work primarily on the experience we create for our users, in-, but also outside of the app. You will dig into app usage data, set up usability sessions and conduct online research to find opportunities and generate ideas. You will translate these into designs of new features or improvements, which you will be handing over to the developers. With a release every month you will undoubtedly see your ideas come to life.  You will work closely with marketing and strategy to define objectives, conduct experiments, facilitate and participate in ideation sessions, and take features from idea to wireframe to prototype to release, and iterate on these.

Your profile

You are excited about user-centered design and want to gain experience with conducting user tests. You are a generalist, capable of quickly picking up new tasks. You can work independently on different tasks given and communicate the progress with the other team members.

Additionally, you:

- are enrolled in a master program in the field of design

- have experience with conducting user research

- have the ability to clearly communicate insights and ideas

- are proficient with digital design tools (Sketch and design systems is a plus)

- are native/fluent English, in speech and writing

What we offer

- Initial assignment for 3-4 months, with options for extension

- Monthly full time internship fee: Master €600,- (international master intern €900,-)
